At Tuesday's council meeting WLOX learned the city is inspecting six more properties that may be added to the blighted properties list.
One of those is the long vacant White House Hotel.
The city's community development director said he gets calls daily about the eyesore on Highway 90.
"Our intent is not to have the historic structure torn down. But what we would like to see happen is for the owner to either remove the steel beam construction. Or clean up the grounds and possibly put in a fence that is more appropriate. And set up some type of regular maintenance program on the grounds," Biloxi Community Development Director Jerry Creel said.
The city has also targeted other properties including, The Old Hancock Bank on Highway 90 is set to come down sometime in February.
The city has given some other blighted property owners a deadline of September 30. After that, the city can tear down the buildings and charge the property owners.
